Hello everyone!
Hope you guys are ready for the Lunar New Year season! I've received some Sephora gift cards for Christmas and I thought, why not get myself some new goodies from Sephora to doll up for the LNY as well as repurchase some of my favourite things?
Thus, we've the first haul of 2020!
INC.redible You Glow Girl Cosmic Blur Gift Set by NAILS.INC
I love NAILS.INC, and I've not touched my OPI or China Glaze polishes since I've started using their products because I love them so much. I've never seen this shade before, which is like a holographic polish. But I'd think this isn't very opaque, probably something more of a topcoat to add a nice holographic sheen. It came with a holographic highlighter gel, which I thought looked so amazing and cosmic! A tiny bit of it goes a long way so I wasn't surprised it came in such a small tiny tub! Also, since it's of a gel consistency, it is quite runny and if you don't close the packaging properly, it will definitely leak out! Just a little bit of caution to not have this in your make up bag if you don't want to risk a mess, it's a lot better staying on your vanity!

Gel Effect in Colville Mews by NAILS.INC
I've yet to try this shade out, it's like a pretty grey-ish nude. I was looking for the shade Belgrave Square, which is my favourite nude shade, but they didn't seem to have it and I came across this one instead, so I took a chance and grabbed this shade.
Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Foundation in 260 by Fenty Beauty
I've been wanting to try this for a while now and I'm so happy that I got my hands on a shade that matches me pretty well! I did give this a go the other day and I quite like how it feels on my skin. The coverage is pretty good, and I didn't get any weird smile lines which I'm definitely happy about!
Luminizer in Rose Quartz by Kora Organics
This one was definitely an impulse buy. I saw this while I was queueing at the shop and I was just so drawn to it, they had a clear quartz and amethyst option, but I decided to try the rose quartz one because rose quartz is pink and that's usually a safe colour for a skin illuminator. There weren't any samples available as well so I literally bought this in good faith. Honestly, I'm not sure how to feel about it. Since it was the last piece for the rose quartz option, I literally didn't know what I was getting myself into. I didn't expect it to be so soft and 'oily' on the surface (hence my fingerprint on the right photo) so I was already beginning to regret my purchase. I tried it as a normal highlighter and it literally went downhill, so I redid my make up and tried it just before my primer, and it looked really great! It gives you a lovely natural glow that you can build up with more layers. It stayed put into my skin and it didn't feel oily or greasy, so now, I really love it!
Take A Layer Multi Pot in #Morning Skinny by 3CE
I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I bought this but I think I shouldn't have gotten such a bright colour! Then again, I have nothing like this (shade or product wise) in my collection so perhaps it's not such a bad thing. I do love the multi-use; eyes, cheek and lips because it's a really soft and blend-able formula, but it doesn't look too great as an eye colour for me. Not on its own, at least!
Air Light Sun Stick by Laneige
I've been using the Calendula sunstick by Mamonde for a while and I've been loving it, but I couldn't help but be curious about this one from Laneige so I decided to give it a go! The Laneige one is definitely more pricey (though not by much) in comparison and so far, I find that the formulas are both very decent.

Grapefruit Peeling Mask by Sephora
I bought this just because I was curious! I did try it twice since I've bought it, and it hasn't particularly done anything mind-blowing to my skin, but it does serve as a decent mask to use every now and then. I don't particularly think this peeling mask is meant to do anything too much apart from just remove the dead skin and make your skin smell really yummy!
Sleep Plus+ Pillow Spray by This Works
I've been using their basic formula for a while, so I was quite eager to try the Plus! I don't fall asleep very easily because my sleep schedule is all over the place due to weird hour-ed shoots and just me being a creature of the night. I've been falling asleep much faster and getting more quality sleep when I use the pillow spray which has saved me on multiple occasions! I sometimes spray it on the soft toys that I sleep next to just for the heck of it, so I'm really excited to try this formula!
Magic Marc'er in Blacquer by Marc Jacobs Beauty
This has to be the most obvious repurchase I'd make! I did want to repurchase my favourite mascara, but I've just opened a new tube so there wasn't really a need to get a back up one. If I haven't said enough about how much I LOVE this eyeliner, I'll say it again. This is my favourite eyeliner.
I'll admit I've not given the Cocoa shade as much love as I've been giving the black one. I just adore this eyeliner. It has never smudged on me, it lasts the whole day, even when I wear it on shoot as a crew (imagine all that perspiration...) so I've never found the need to explore with other eyeliners. I just love this too much!
And we've come to the end of my first haul of 2020! I hope you guys enjoyed it, since I've not actually done a haul in a while. I'd like to wish all of you a happy Lunar New Year, may you be able to spend loads of fun times with family and friends, as well as eat to your hearts desire without getting fat! 'Till my next blogpost!
xx
